This site features Native American spirit masks and assorted other handmade crafts to commemorate the strength and magnificence these people once had. These spirit masks are handcrafted leather, sculpted from photographs, and mounted on rabbit fur. Each face has been researched and each mask has a name. The jewelry is real glass beads and real silver beads, the stones are real turquoise and the bone pipe I use is real, not cheap plastic. The feathers all tell the achievements, the face paintings and colors are common with the dates of their nation.
     Most other sculptures of this type that I have seen lack the most important feature in a sprit mask - face detail. The leatherwork and all the detail work is put together as the Native Americans did. As you look at these on a wall they seem almost spooky.
